The FUN Car!
After much research and a lot of waiting, I took possession of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 4 door sedan on September 9, 1998. It is Topaz Gold Metallic with the Camel interior. Pictures of the car, interior and engine compartment as well as other information are available.Interested in Car Clubs?
Here's more clubs than you knew existed:
From GT Products, Inc., their Car Enthusiasts page has a long listing of automotive related sites.
Want Automotive Industry News?
Wheels, Inc. has an industry news section with information on the new car assembly lines, production status, holds on equipment and colors. If you are looking for a specific model, you might want to check this out. They update irregularly, usually about once a month.
Buying a New Car?
(Or even a used car, for that matter!)
I recently completed research on several new car models, and found a number of sites on the internet to help with my quest. Each site has new car pricing (list and invoice prices) and option lists, but some sites present more detailed or easier to understand information than another site. Many also have values for used cars. Try several and see what you like!
- Kelley Blue Book is an old standard, where you can find values for used cars and pricing information for new vehicles.
- Intellichoice also has pricing information and can make you a sample window sticker for the car of your choice. I do find that sometimes you cannot correctly "build" the car you wish because there are errors in availability of options. (GM uses their window sticker information for pricing reports from their sites, with similar errors.)
- AutoByTel is a relatively new service providing new car information.
- AutoSite has a more detailed listing of options, which (though several pages longer than Edmund's list) explained some of the questions I had when looking at Edmund's more condensed list.
- Pace Buyer's Guides is another site with new car pricing information.
- GM BuyPower is GM's attempt at using the web to sell cars. They claim they will find you the best price. I didn't use their service, so I don't know.
