Route 66 Links | Day 2: 700 miles | Days 3 & 4 | Days 5-7

Day 1

As Bob said, "Thinking of driving cross country? It sucks! Save 2 thousand bucks!"

He also advises: "Just sell all your crap and fly!"

Days 3 and 4

Now the fun really began! From eating in Juarez to breaking down in Sheffield, Bob was already 2 days behind. It's just too much fun.

Historic Fort Stockton, Texas,
Your Crossroads to Adventure!

Home of the World's Largest Roadrunner, Paisano Pete, 11 feet tall, 22 feet long... and fake! It's a STATUE! And those mountains look fake, too. What are they trying to pull?

Days 5, 6 and 7

The U-Haul's fuel system fails, is repaired. Then, at Sweetwater (home of the World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup), Bob blows 2 tires.

By the time he arrived in Dallas, Bob had racked up more trouble than any one person should have to tolerate during a move. Moses comes to mind.

Lucky for us, Bob's daily disasters equaled daily radio fun!
