Bearded iris are native to Europe and Asia. In Europe, they have been cultivated since at least the Middle Ages.

Inner Vision
Inner Vision is a modern tall bearded hybrid. The wide ruffled petals of this iris are typical of modern trends in breading tall bearded iris.

Iris chamaeiris, synonyms: Iris lutesens and others. Native to Spain, France and Italy.

Iris germanica florintina
Iris germanica florintina, synonym: Iris florintina. Probably an ancent hybrid of species native to the Mediteranean. This plant is the original source of orris root used in the perfume industry.
