From Ken Walker's Garden

Crested or evansia iris have a raised ridge on their falls, where bearded iris have beards. They are mostly native to Eastern Asia with a few species growing in North America.
Iris confusa is native to China. It, along with Iris wattii, are sometimes called bamboo iris because their leaf fans are at the ends of bamboo like stems.
