全美中文學院是由一群熱愛教育工作的教育界人士於一九九九年創立的教育機構﹐宗旨在服務廣大華人同胞﹐為華人子弟提供高品質的中文教育。
     本學院有陣容堅強的教職人員。校長許春英曾任文化大學副教授，教授兒童教育學科並擔任課務主任﹐學驗具豐。兩位副校長陳芸芝及陳淑芬，都是中文教育工作的佼佼者，精通教室管理、教學技巧及學校行政；前者畢業於國立台北師範學院，後者擁有加州Pepperdine University教育博士學位。
     我們擁有南加州中文學校聯合會頒獎表揚的優良教師群.每年積極參與中文教學研習會吸收新知識﹐且經常被邀請擔任研習會講員﹐不但在教學技巧及教室管理上有優異的表現﹐更重要的是他們都有熱愛學生的心。本學院聘請多位教學經驗豐富的老師﹐例如：劉春菊老師同時擔任本校教師聘審委員會主席及活動處主任一職。劉老師在教學上深獲好評﹐也曾多次訓練及帶領學生參加演講､朗誦､書法及寫字比賽﹐成果輝煌,履次獲獎且都名列前茅。
     本學院還有陣容堅強的顧問群﹐與教師們一同編製了三套中文教材-- 進階中文、單元活動設計與補充教材、成語慣用語。這三套特別為海外中文教育編製的教材,提供多元化的中文教學﹐有助於提高學生學習中文的興趣。最重要的是﹐本教材除了著重學生紮實的基礎外,並保留授課教師的創意空間﹐使教學過程中的師生互動盡情發揮,讓教與學成為美好的藝術。這三套教材均獲僑委會頒發獎金﹐是南加州2002年唯一獲此殊榮的中文學校。
     教育乃百年大計,全美中文學院全體教職人員矢志獻身海外中文教育﹐既為華人社區提供更多的服務﹐更協助每一位學生獲致最好的中文造詣。

Introduction

The institution is composed of outstanding faculty and staff. The principal, Anita Sheu, held an Associate Professorship at Chinese Culture University in Taiwan, where she taught topics in child education. Two vice principals, Kelly Kuo and Shu-Fen Chen, are distinguished educators in the field of Chinese language, excelling in classroom management, teaching methodology, and school administration. Ms. Kuo graduated from Taipei Teacher Normal College in Taiwan. Ms. Chen holds a doctoral degree in Education from Pepperdine University.

We consist of faculty who have been recognized and honored by the Southern California Council of Chinese Schools for their achievements in Chinese education. The faculty actively pursue additional training via regular educational seminars and are often invited to speak at these seminars. These teachers not only possess rich experience in classroom management and creative teaching, more importantly they have a love for teaching. Mrs. Chun-Chu Liu, a member of the faculty, is Coordinator of Extracurricular Activities and Chairperson of Personnel Committee. She has successfully prepared many students for contests in public speaking, Chinese calligraphy, and Chinese handwriting. Her students have received numerous awards.

Our strong roster of consultants and teachers has cooperated to create three volumes of curriculum material for teaching the Chinese language: Step-by-Step to Chinese, Supplementary Material, and Proverbs. These three volumes are especially designed for teaching Chinese as a non-native language. It is our expectation that, with this teaching material, the faculty can teach Chinese in various creative ways and at the same time enhance students’ self-motivation and learning skills. Most importantly, the material leaves creative space for the teachers, empowering them with flexibility to enhance the students’ learning experience as they see fit. The process of teaching and learning can become an art. All three volumes of the curriculum material have received scholarship awards from Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission. Our school is the only recipient of such honor from Southern California.

Teaching is a life-long commitment. With our excellent staff, enthusiasm for teaching, and dedication towards the students, we will help every child in All American Academy succeed in his or her pursuit of learning the Chinese language.
