Cyrus became part of our family in 1993. He was our second Vizsla and soon became "the other half" of Sierra! He finished his championship with wins including BOW for a 5 point major, at the 1994 Vizsla Club of Northern California specialty. Cyrus then went on to a specials career, earning over 60 Best of Breeds, dozens of group wins, many specialty wins and merits, and a 1995 nationals award of merit.  

We then retired Cyrus from the show ring and let him do what is his real passion, birds! He finished his Junior Hunter with straight 10's on his last leg, all with no prior training except the runs from the first 3 legs. In 2001, Cyrus finished his Master Hunter title, with a 9.3 average on the last leg. Cyrus also has been run in a handful of field trials, earning several placements and honorable mentions. What we have heard from many judges and professional trainers is that Cyrus is a great bird dog.  He has an extremely sensitive nose, a very strong drive and run and a most stylish point. When Cyrus was younger, several field trainers approached us in regards to campaigning him, but we were never able to let him go.  He is our kid, a homebody in the end, his bed is the big brown recliner in our bedroom.  

Cyrus has been the proud sire of a number of litters and we are now seeing his kids in the ring and field. Many have achieved titles and at this time 16 of his get are Junior Hunters, 14 are Champions and 3 have won Sweepstakes with entries of up to over 30 dogs and one has gone Best Puppy In Show at an all breed show.  He is able to stamp his good looks on his get, but most importantly, they have great temperaments, and are healthy and super birdy just like their dad.  

We have been extremely proud to have been the "parents" of this accomplished boy, Cyrus is a truly versatile Vizsla, representing all that a Vizsla should be.
