Jack Snyder sat at his desk, sifting through piles of paperwork and notes, looking for something, anything, that he might have missed that could lead him to the one hole he could use to nail Craig Montgomery. He was sick and tired of the man running around town like he was some sort of all-powerful being, mowing people down without regret and leaving them broken in his wake, and he just wanted Craig in prison where he couldn't wreck anybody else. He thought about Hal and Barbara, and how Craig's presence has thrown the last nails into the coffin of their marriage, and Jennifer, whose relationship with Craig's son Bryant had also been turned upside down by Hal and Craig's antagonism, and Carly…Carly, he shouldn't really be thinking about her, since he was married to Julia, but he couldn't help it; she invaded his thoughts, just like always. The two of them working together, they would have been unstoppable…but now Jack was forced to get Craig on his own, because he'd royally screwed up, again, with Carly. As Jack pondered all that had gone down, he was startled by the sound of his phone ringing. "Snyder," he said gruffly. "Oh, yeah, hi, no, yeah, I'm fine. What, you spotted on of Montgomery's associates, where? Port…Port, where? Port Charles, New York? What the…no, no, I'll be there, I'll be on the next flight. Keep an eye out, and let me know if you come up with anything else. Thanks a lot, I'll see you in New York." Jack put the phone down and pulled his jacket off the back of the chair. He paused for a minute, thinking of calling Julia to let her know he was leaving town on a case, but he decided against it. "No time now, I'll just call her on the plane," he remarked to himself, as he walked out of the police station, hopeful that soon he'd get what he needed to rid the town, and Carly, of Montgomery for good…
