Games, like any other form of entertainment, are largely a matter of personal taste. Some prefer complex war games, others prefer party games. Nevertheless some games are generally recognized as being better than others. This list attempts quantify what our group thinks of the games we have tried. Our ranking and number of times played are shown below.

Never played or no opinions should all be the last number ranked on your list (if you only rank 12 games all the rest should be ranked 13)

How the Rankings and Ratings Are Calculated:

I calculate all game rankings and ratings based on inputs from current and former members of our game group. So far 3 members have submitted rankings (Chris, Tom & Mark). Scores are tabulated using the following algorithms.

Ranking is the median of all submitted rankings sorted in ascending order. For example, suppose only two games were in the list, "A" and "B". Game A receives rankings of 4 and 8 and game B receives rankings of 3 and 10. Game A would be ranked first with a median of 6 and game B would be second with a median of 6.5. Ties are resolved by the most plays last year then by alphabetical order.
