FIRST NATIONS
COUNCIL OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS

COMMUNITY SERVICE

FNCPA COMMUNITY SERVICE

The group promotes American Indian recruitment to the Physician Assistant profession.  To this end, groups of Indian High School students from reservations or urban communities are exposed to the Profession through a process of video, presentation, group discussion and individual information provided by Physician Assistants volunteers.

In an effort to enhance the health of reservation and urban American Indian communities, members of FNCPA join other health agencies to provide health screenings and to distribute health education materials including nutrition, prenatal care, baby care, smoking cessation and women’s health.
