FNCPA welcomes and encourages Indian health providers, health and educational organizations, and individuals to join FNCPA in successfully bridging the gap between western and Indian communities, to enhance their educational and health status. FNCPA is proud to publish "First Nations" for its membership on a quarterly basis. This newsletter provides an update of FNCPA activities and is a resource of information on American Indian health issues affecting the well-being of Indian Nations. FIRST NATIONS was formed to provide a collective voice within AAPA for Indian physician assistants including native Alaskans and Hawaiians. This remains our core group. However, we are by no means exclusive. We welcome for membership any and all individuals who share our aims of improving the health of native peoples and/or work to increase Indian careers in the health field. We firmly believe that by working together under common goals that we can make a difference.
