This concerns the property sold to L. A., F. E., and V. B. Gillespie
by the Palo Verde Land and Water Company on March 23, 1911, believed to have been
farmed by them for at least a year prior, and sold several years later. It has been
referred to as the "south" property, but its location was not known for a long time. It
has been found to be 40 acres, a mile or so south of town on Lovekin Blvd., approximately
bounded by the following modern landmarks:
On the west by Lovekin Blvd.
On the south by Seeley Ave.
On the east by the railroad.
On the north by an unidentified road, 1/4 mile north of Seeley.
The following photos were taken at various corners of the property on November 7, 2002.
