Besides my car and driving the shit out of it, I'm a fairly avid reader. Most of my enjoyment stems from non-fictional texts, but I've found a few fictional pieces worthy of my eyes. It's slightly deplorable that people no longer read because so much can be learned from flipping a few harmless pieces of paper. With my bedroom window open and brain unable to rest, I decided to compile a list of recommended readings. Hopefully it's of some use to at least one person. I have criticisms of each book (thematic, linguistic, stylistic, etc.), but I also believe that each offers a significant and meaningful viewpoint to particular topics. The left list is what I've read; the one on the right is what I plan to read.
