Imagine a Woman
Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good she is a woman.
A woman who honors her experience and tells her stories.
Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.
Imagine a woman who trusts and respects herself.
A woman who listens to her needs and desires.
Who meets them with tenderness and grace.
Imagine a woman who authors her own life.
A woman who exerts, initiates and moves on her own behalf.
Who refuses to surrender except to her truest self and wisest voice.
Imagine a woman who names her own gods.
A woman who imagines the divine in her image and likeness.
Who designs a personal spirituality to inform her daily life.
Imagine a woman in love with her own body.
A woman who believes her body is enough, just as it is.
Who celebrates her body's rhythms and cycles as an exquisite resource.
Imagine a woman who honors the body of the Goddess in her changing body.
A woman who celebrates the accumulation of her years and her wisdom.
Who refuses to see her precious life energy disguising the changes in her body and life.
Imagine a woman who values the women in her life.
A woman who sits in circles of women.
Who is reminded of the truth about her self when she forgets.
Imagine yourself as this woman.

You are Worthy
Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Do not set your goals by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.
Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life,
for without them, life is meaningless.
Do not let your life slip through your fingers
By living in the past nor for the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.
Do not give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other.
Do not be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.
Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love;
The fastest way to lose love is too hold it too tightly;
In addition, the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
Do not dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope;
To be without hope is to be without purpose.
Do not run through life so fast that you forget
not only where you have been, but also where you are going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

Women Who Are Chained
Women are put under restraint by men who want them for only themselves.
But for there is one woman who is courageous, which all women would like to be but chains hold us down.
For she has broken free. Broken free from the chains of mankind, she can speak her mind and stand up for all of us who want to, but are chained down.
When she inspires us, we can break free.
When she dies, her legend will still live on.
Someone like her shall take her place to inspire those who are chained so they cannot speak.

My Love For You
We’ve had good times,
and we’ve had bad,
but a greater love
I’ve never had.
By chance or fate
our paths did cross,
life without you
would be my greatest loss.
Look to the future
and I’m sure you’ll see,
the best of times
for you and me.

are like voices

Sometimes I feel that all I touch
withers and dies.
Is it because my touch
is so burning that
it turns all I contact
into ashes ...

Is it because my touch
is so cold that
everything I contact
is frozen ...
turning its back on me
like a plant
shrinking from the darkness

This New Year end a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion, and replace it with trust. Write a love letter. Share some treasure. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Find the time. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Listen. Apologize if you were wrong. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think firstof someone else. Appreciate. Be kind; be gentle. Laugh. Laugh a little more. Laugh a little more. Deserve confidence. Express your gratitude. Go to a spiritual place. Welcome a stranger. Speak your love. Speak it again. Whatever you choose to do, do it with meaning. May you find joy and happiness with the new year!
