Steepness: 6% average over 2 miles at about the 6 mile mark. All other climbs are of lesser steepness.

Traffic Volume/Road Conditions: Very little traffic. No shoulders on most of Mines Road. About 3 miles of the road are single lane with some blind corners.

Start/End Point: Nob Hill Shopping Center in Livermore. Located on South Livermore Avenue.

Comments: A ride which truly takes one out in the middle of nowhere. Once you leave Livermore, expect to see only a few ranches and little else. Be sure to take plenty of water and food. There is nowhere to get provisions besides the Junction Cafe and the CDF fire station at the turnaround.
