Stevens Creek County Park

On a clear day, steeply ascending single track and multi-use trails at Stevens Creek will give you outstanding views of Mt. Diablo, Mt. Hamilton, and San Francisco. Other enjoyable sights are the dense woods along Stevens Creek and its tributaries flowing to the Stevens Creek Reservoir. Some of the trail that borders the reservoir has an abrupt drop-off, so be careful on the fast turns while descending. From the Madrone Group Area, there is a 5-6M looped trail that is quite steep the first two miles, and then follows the Stevens Creek trail for panoramic views and a wild ride past the reservoir.

One of the advantages of training in the South Bay is the sunny skies that prevail in the wintertime. Additional trails connect to Upper Stevens Creek Park, Montebello Open Space Reserve, and the Fremont Older Preserve.

Tips:

Beware of poison oak.
