Neccessity is the mother of.....

Updated the download area with a new utility, dir2html.exe, that will create an HTML page from the contents of a windoz/DOS directory of files. Just run the program and it will create a browsable HTML page. Many parameters allow a high degree of customization.

I wrote this one because I just couldn't find one out there that did what I wanted it to do.

Freeware.

Trent is Toast

Mr. Lott did the right thing and stood down. He would not have had any support, anyway. I'd say he'll spend the rest of his life thinking about that silly birthday party....

Give ' em Hell, Gary

Gary Trudeau begins to chronicle in his comic strip Doonesbury the sad story of former USGS cartographer, Ian Thomas, who was summarily fired two months ago from his job for posting maps showing Caribou calving patterns in the ANWR, which is the area that George W. Bush and friends want to plunder to "solve" our national energy crisis. Thomas is beginning to fight back, now, with help from various sources.

Meanwhile, alternate energy research has been/will be slashed to the bone, in order to keep us all dependant, ignoring the huge benefits of wind and solar power, two key technologies which I personally support.

Shut up and tell me everything.

Trauma Physician, Steven Greer's Disclosure Project went live yesterday, with over 200 military and other personnel testifying regarding UFOs, E.T.s, and other (cue spooky music) weird stuff. ABC News covered the press conference, which called for an end to governmental secrecy and cover-ups.

It appears that this is a prelude to testimony before Congress, or at least that's what Greer's group is apparently attempting to precipitate.

New Circuit

Added a new schematic in the Circuit Attic, number 20, a Temporal Power Supply, used to power battery-operated equipment or other instrumentation in which long battery life and automatic shutdown are requirements. This little circuit will provide power to the target initially via a SPST, NO pushbutton switch, after which the target can latch the supply on for as long as needed. After a period of time (such as a timeout, for instance) the target can turn off its own power, extending battery life.
