Source code for a simple
PC Card Client Driver that demonstrates how to 1) Register with Card Services
as a client, 2) open a memory aperture (window) to the memory card in a
safe place within the target's memory space, 3) read data from the memory
card, 3) write the data to an MS-DOS binary file and 3), deregister from
Card Services. Complete source code is given and the utility is a good example
of how to interface with PC Cards using the existing PC Card Standards. The
program code is freeware. You are free to modify as you desire. If you use
the code for commercial purposes, you must agree to attribute it's origins
to myself. |

cisdump.zip is a PC Card
utility that will dump to the screen (or to a file if output is redirected)
the contents of a PC Card's CIS (Card Information Structure). The dump is
formatted and is a helpful diagnostic aid in determining whether a PC Card
complies with standards for CIS. The freeware program was developed by Bright
Shih, a respected colleague and requires a valid PC Card "driver stack" to
operate, i.e., Socket and Card Services. |

A quick and dirty program
I developed to generate a random E-mail signature each time I start up my
computer. When properly configured, RANDEPI will select a random line from
a text file (the file of quote, quips, or proverbs) that you create,
merge it with a template of lines that never change (like your E-mail address
or home page URL), and send the output to stdout, where it can be redirected
to a file. Instructions are given on how to set it up with Eudora, one of
the most popular free E-mail clients in use today. The program is freeware. |
