Guy Overfelt received his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1996 and his BFA from the Maryland Art Institute in 1994. Overfelt has presented his work nationally and internationally, including exhibitions at the Basel Art Fair, Basel, Switzerland; First Vienna Austrotel Contemporary Art Fair, Vienna, Austria; Liste 2000: The Young Art Fair in Basel, Basel Switzerland; Frankfurt Messe, Frankfurt, Germany; Club Zonne Gallery, Kobe, Japan; Dogenhaus Galerie, Leipzig, Germany; STHLM Art Fair, Stockholm, Sweden; Bronwyn Keenan Gallery, New York; White Columns, New York; Museum of Modern Art , Baltimore, Maryland; David Geffen Museum, LA, CA; Yale University, New Haven, CN; Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art, Cleveland, OH; Jack Hanley Gallery, SF, CA and Refusalon Gallery , SF, CA.

Overfelt is included in two group exhibitions 'Marked' (curated by MATRIX curator Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson) at Hunter College, New York and 'Purloined' (curated by The Studio Museum in Harlem curator Christine Y.
