CANCELLATION POLICY

To be effective, counseling and psychotherapy needs to take place on a regular basis. The best results occur when appointments are consistently scheduled and attended regularly. Additionally, appointment time reserved for you means that it can not be used for someone else. It is reserved for you.

My general policy is as follows: Appointments cancelled with less than 72 business hours will be charged at your regular hourly rate unless rescheduled for another time prior to your next scheduled appointment. Clearly, I would rather reschedule your appointment rather than charge you for the time. Specifically:

1) Sessions cancelled 72 business hours prior to the scheduled appointment will not be charged.

2) Sessions cancelled in less than 72 hours business hours but more than 12 business hours will not charged if we can reschedule the visit prior to your next weekly meeting.

3) Sessions cancelled 12 business hours or less prior to the scheduled time will be billed. Any additional visits prior to the next scheduled visit will be billed as additional visits at your regular rate.

I am also requesting that cancellation be done by phone not email.
