Pros and Cons
Each election cycle, members of the LWVBAE study the local, non-partisan ballot measures that will appear on our primary and general election ballots. The League takes a position on those where a consensus emerges from the study.
Prior to each election, the League publishes Pros and Cons - a summary of the arguments for and against each measure. The following are links to the Pros and Cons we've published for elections since the beginning of 1998.
Community Meetings
The League also sponsors community meetings where citizens can hear candidates for local office, and representatives arguing for and against various local measures up for consideration. The following links take you to the schedules for meetings we've sponsored prior to elections from Spring 1998 on.
