Camping back then...

Annual family camping trip, 1970s, Western Sierra Nevada

Coffee's done...time to warm the buns for breakfast.

Camping more recently...

Robinson Creek Campground, October 2003
Eastern Sierra Nevada

One of my favorite flyfishing streams in the Sierras

La Casita

Back then, money for family vacations was hard to come by, tents were cramped, and the ground was hard and cold.  Now, with just the two of us, we "camp" in a 17' Casita travel trailer with a kitchen, bathroom and kingsize bed.  Getting older doesn't HAVE to suck!

Patti and I traveled with our Casita from San Diego County to Alaska and back in the summer of 2006.  We spent almost 3 months touring the western United States, western Canada and Alaska.  A web page about our trip is in the development stage.  Time and server space, for now, keep it a future addition to my pages.
