For Everyone
On-site chair massage lets anyone enjoy the benefits
of massage without costing a large sum of money and time. It is a delightful,
relaxing and affordable "picker upper" that relieves stress
and makes you feel good.
What is on-site chair massage?
It is a brief seated massage which:
- Is done while you sit in a designed portable massage chair.
- Lasts from 10 to 20 minutes.
- No oils are used and takes place with you fully clothed.
- Covers the neck, shoulder, back, arms, hands and scalp.
- Leaves you in a relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated state.
Compared to a full table massage, a seated massage
is usually shorter and therefore costs much less. When arranging on-site
chair massage for a group, you can pay yourself, let each individual pay,
or share the cost.
For the
Workplace
When most of us think of the workplace,
we visualize people busily working at desks, pounding away for hours at
keyboards, glaring at computer screens, rushing off to meetings and working
extra hours to meet crunching deadlines.
Anxiety and stress are so inevitably
associated with this scene that their absence would be a strange and odd
phenomenon. Over time, this stress can take its toll on our bodies and
minds and lead to injury, especially to the lower back, neck, shoulders,
and wrists. The Business Journal recently stated that in California alone
"nearly 600,000 employees lose a day or more of work because of injuries
caused by repetitive motion," such as keyboarding. Headaches, eye-strain
and overall anxiety are also common.
If you are experiencing any of these
ailments or just feel like you need to relax or ease away tension, take
your well-deserved break and treat yourself to a quick and inexpensive
"picker upper."
Chair massages are done in which the
neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands, and scalp are massaged through acupressure
sequences, each of which is designed to restore you to a relaxed, refreshed
and rejuvenated state.
My training at the Touch Pro Institute
gave me the opportunity to learn from David Palmer himself, known as "the
father of chair massage."
Having access to receive Chair Massage
lets you know in a very tangible way that your employer cares enough about
your health and welfare to take wise and preventive action.
