Margaret brings her life-long love of dogs together with positive training techniques that both you and your dog will enjoy. With five years experience working for the Marin Humane Society, Margaret has a special interest in effective training of rescue dogs and keeping dogs in their homes through obedience training and positive reinforcement. She is a member and certified by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the North Bay Humane Dog Trainers Network, and has attended numerous seminars on training and behavior. She graduated top of her class from the San Francisco's Academy for Dog Trainers and has a Certificate in Training and Counseling. Margaret has trained her dogs to AKC Novice Level Obedience (CD), AKC & NADAC Excellent and Elite Level Agility, she continues to show her dogs for higher titles. Her commitment to dogs, their welfare, and her dedication to continued education through seminars and workshops ensures the most up to date, humane methods of dog training.


Obedience Training


Basic (on leash) and advanced (off leash) obedience lessons available privately in your home.  Programs consist of 1 hour lessons, using positive reinforcement techniques and clicker training. Your dog will learn to sit, down, stay, come, walk on a loose leash, "leave it" and wait at doorways. Jumping up, housetraining, mouthing and other behavior problem instruction available as well.  Individual lesson are tailored to your dog's specific breed and needs.

Positive Refresher


This service is for dogs who have had obedience training in the past, but need a little refresher course. Lessons are tailored to you dogs specific needs and use positive reinforcement and clicker training techniques. Lessons can be a refresher on one specific problem area or a general review of everything. Behavior modification available for aggression and separation anxiety.
