The Annette I. Baughman
Scholarship Fund
The Annette I. Baughman Scholarship Fund of the United Nations Association of San Diego was established in 2002 in honor of Annette Baughman. The $10,000 annual scholarship fund is a gift from her son, Mr. Duane Baughman. The Scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement and MUN involvement.
The number and amount of individual awards will be determined by the
Selection Committee and may range from $1000 to $10,000.
Awards will be announced by June 1, 2008.
Awards
will be paid directly to the college or
university in two or three equal payments, depending on the academic
calendar of the college or university (semester or quarter system).
-U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
-Senior in high school in San Diego County, or San Diego community college
student transferring to a four-year school.
-Model United Nations participant (minimum one semester in a Model UN Club or
class)
-Enrollment in a 4-year college or university in the U.S.
1. Application form. 2. High school transcript. 3. 500-1000 word essay on one of three topics. 4. Two (2) letters of recommendation (one must be from the MUN advisor.).
Finalists will be interviewed by Mrs. Annette I. Baughman and the Scholarship Selection Committee.
