Grammar? That's as boring as spelling.
Why should I care? Nobody bothers with that stuff anymore!
If the above assertion were true, it would be much easier to get an
A on a paper.
True, some professors are not as exacting as others.
But all of them would rather see a paper where the student tried
to write correctly than one where the student couldn't be bothered.
The closer your paper is to being correctly written, the less the teachers
will raise issue with the occasional blooper.
It's like spelling. As one teacher wrote, "If you spell cat K-A-T,
I might let it pass. If you spell it D-O-G, I won't."
Understand the basics of grammar and you have a much better chance of being a successful writer!
