whats inside a serge panel:

i had to perform some maintenance on a pot in my slope filter
module so while opening up this panel i thought i'd snap some
photos for fun.

this is a processing panel; modules, left to right, are:
preamp detector, frequency shifter, comparator module, wilson analog delay (no relation), mixer, variable slope Vcf,
resonant eq, dual phaser, dual channel stereo mixer.

as a custom job, this panel has xlr and 1/4" balanced outs on the back, which mirror the 1/4" and banana
unbalanced outs on the dual channel stereo mixer on the front.  i use these as my system main outs.

after unscrewing the six screws on the front panel, the panel is easily removed from the housing.
in this picture, you see the reverse layout of the front panel, above.  on the right, the frequency
shifter's piggybacked PCB's are visible. the analog delay's (next pcb to the left of the FS)
SAD1024 chips are the gold ones on the lower right of that board.

same angle as above.  the boards are arranged on rails, which, when unscrewed, lift up on
jointed brackets to afford this type of access.  so again, the FS is on the far right, etc.
