These beautiful GRINDERS are made in and imported from Turkey. Just like the ones that can be found in gourmet food shops, they measure a full ten inches tall! In addition to being quite large, they are also lightly decorated with engraved flourishes from top to bottom. Inside they are all metal, high quality grinders suitable for even the toughest of resins. We find them to be fabulous for making our resin based incenses. When your grinder arrives you will find the crank folded inside the grinder itself, but when it's fully extended the crank is 5 3/8" long. Just pull the top dome off, it takes a little effort until it's been used a few times, and take out the crank.

We recommend cleaning the grinder before the first use with warm soapy water and drying thoroughly with a clean lint-free towel. After that, to wash or not to wash is the question, and often a personal one. You'll have to decide for yourself. To use the grinder take the top off and put your plant material in the grinder. Replace the dome, place the crank on the grinding nut, and turn the crank a few times. Remove the ground material by carefully pulling off the bottom of the grinder. In this picture you can see how simple this device is in its design. Not too many parts, and only two moving ones - the crank and the grinding wheel. How's that for good ancient technology?
