Sam Wong (Wong Chun Yee)
1874-1938
Among the third generation of Gom Benn Villagers to immigrate to the Riverside-San Bernardino area was Wong Chun Yee, a co-owner of the Gee Chung Co. in San Bernardino with his two brothers, Wong To Sai and Wong Tung Din. Wong Chun Yee arrived in San Bernardino in the early 1880's and was the father of Voy Wong (Wong Gow Doy) who established the Chungking Restaurant in Riverside in 1942.
