The Bolex "Pod"

The finest craftsmanship!

There is so much to like about this pod that I am really amazed no one has produced a similar one in modern times. Made by Bolex in 1967-68, the multi-pod is perfect for desktop copywork, animation, a travel tripod, and even a shoulder pod! And what's best, it folds down to four parallel tubes about 9 inches long and comes in a very stylish black leather case.

Perfect for copywork of magazine titles, etc.!

The center pole has an internal extension rod allowing the unit to extend fully. The legs rotate in any direction and lock into place with a slight turn - be sure to have a large coin handy to lock the screws in place. Very convenient in use.

Notice the tropd head. It provides movement on all axis and offers a very secure locking to the bottom of the camera. The center pole's rubber foot has a sharp metal point that helps keep everything in place. The rubber foot moves up and down on a screw so as to remove the point from delicate placements.
