Welcome
to the Mohler Mania homepage, brought to you by Dulce, Dan, and the Powerpuff
Mohlers, Gwendolyn & Dominique. Gwendolyn's enjoying 2nd grade...and studying
jazz, hula, & piano on the side! Dominique's having fun (she saw what
you did!)...
This is a shot of the girls
on Dominique's 1-year birthday, early in the millennium. Outfits by Mama,
in a traditional, midwestern style. Cake provided by Goldilock's, or someone
like that.
Legoland was grand,
but we're hoping to go to Spain this summer.

Gwendolyn
will never forget Paris, and Dominique will never remember it (oh well).
We stayed near Disneyland Paris for the first week, and visited the Louvre,
the Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame cathedral, Sacre Coure, the Eiffel Tower,
the Arch of Triumph, Versailles, and enjoyed getting lost on the Metro.
Before hitting Paris, we spent
a relaxing week in northern England, visiting several castles (Edinburgh,
Skipton,
and Lancaster).
Bidding adieu to Paris, we
visited Rome for holy week, seeing the pope at the Wed. audience, Holy
Thursday and Good Friday services. Enjoyed the other cathedrals and the
Vatican museum.

Dominique
felt at home in the Vatican. It was almost as nice as California!
I made it up the Santa Scala
on my knees carrying Dominique. Many thanks to a couple young members
of Opus Dei who carried my backpack and stroller for me!
The Roman Forum and the fountains
were nice. The "roman guards" at the Colloseum got mad because
we didn't have enough lira to satisfy them.
The Princess Hotel wasn't too
bad, except I didn't realize that the pool is not open in April. The subway
and buses were too crowded, and the cabbies try to extort high tips, but
otherwise, it was all pretty nice.
