"As a recording artist, you have shown the true meaning of professionalism, civic leadership and responsibility by displaying exemplary talents and giving unselfishly of your time and efforts to encourage young people to make positive choices in their community, to strive for excellence, to say no to crime, to say no to drugs and yes to a strong community, businesses and schools." - DeVoux L. Grant (Dion) President of School Entertainment and Activities Program (SEAP)

Fisher, the world's only Reggae Oboist/English Hornist is also a singer, songwriter, dancer and Visual Artist. She started her own independent recording label Molin Music in 1995 which is named for her two children (Monique and Lincoln). She says "there is nothing more important than our youth."

Fisher juggles a full-time performance schedule which has included such grand venues as the Great Western Forum, Arrowhead-Pond Arena and the Los Angeles Sports Arena. She has a 16-year Public School teaching career16-year Public School teaching career but also successfully markets her CDs and artwork by helping agencies that assist the homeless, abused women, and children. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of her art and music often goes to some of these agencies.

A survivor of domestic violence, she has been engaged to speak and sing to many organizations that are likely to work with victims in their line of work. She opened the National Violence Prevention Conference and has been a keynote speaker for the Southern California Organization of School Nurses Fall Conference.  She has also been featured on internet radio on Dreadmon's Reggae Rhythms, Daniel Frankston's Uprising, Mike Pawka's Jammin' Reggae Virtual Radio, Jabulani's Sounds of Africa and DJ Sister Yasmin's Heartbeat Vibrations at RadioM.  Fisher has also been featured on radio, newsradio and television.

Fisher has been touring with the School Entertainment and Activities Program (SEAP) Joining Academics with Music Tour. This is the same tour used by superstar artists Michael and Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, Diana Ross and Brandy.  Students are rewarded for academic achievement, perfect attendance, etc, with a concert at their school introduced by local popular radio stations.

Private music study for Fisher was at New England Conservatory, Boston University (SFA), and The Tanglewood Institute, Indiana University (SOM) and the North Carolina School of the Arts.  She has a degree in Oboe performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts and an M.Ed in Instructional Leadership from National University.  She has taught in the US Virgin Islands, Hawaii and California.

Fisher says she has always loved Reggae music and its conscious messages and decided rather than wonder why oboists were not playing Reggae, asked herself "why not!". She says she has wanted to make a difference for young people and found music to be the best approach. Her two releases on the Molin Music label are Renaissance in Formation and Tu Amiga Fiel. A new, upcoming release is being co-produced with the help of Jawge Hughes - keyboardist with the Fully Fullwood Band. She worked closely with the Legendary Joe Higgs this past year, prior to his death. Fisher is currently headlining with the Bob Marley Festival Tour 2000 and has a starring role in R & B legend Ed Townsend"s, (songwriting credits include, "For Your Love" and "Let's Get It On" for Marvin Gaye) "Been There, Done That" which premiered with host Dick Clark and featured Quincy Jones, in a truly star studded event!
