| In 1969, when PACIFIC CAMERA opened its
doors in Costa Mesa, California, the NIKONOS II was just introduced. In those early days, our main business was repairing NIKON professional equipment. However, our close proximity to the ocean and the diving community, gradually resulted in an increased volume of NIKONOS repairs. During the 1970's, PACIFIC CAMERA became the first NIKONOS AUTHORIZED SERVICE facility dedicated exclusively to service and repair NIKONOS products in the Western U.S.A. Today, almost thirty years later, the unsurpassed quality of our service has made PACIFIC CAMERA the choice for NIKONOS repairs and maintenance. We are proud that our repair facility, one of the most modern in the nation, has a very large inventory of genuine NIKONOS replacement parts and is completely equipped with all the specialized test instruments and tools required to service NIKONOS equipment. In 1990, based on our vast experience with NIKONOS products, PACIFIC CAMERA developed SUBALARM, our first line of safety products designed to detect leaks in NIKONOS cameras. SUBALERT, our current line of leak-prevention devices was first introduced to NIKONOS users in 1994.
