CALLER ONE has blazing speed out of the gate. A 3 year old gelding by PHONE TRICK, he's only been off the board twice in 10 lifetime starts for trainer James Chapman. He's been winning stakes in both California and Kentucky, albeit against his own age group but on different track conditions as well. After an easy win in the Kentucky Cup Sprint Stakes, he'll go straight into the Breeders' Cup Sprint and will definitely get the acid test against older horses.
KONA GOLD was given some time off after winning the Potrero Grande Handicap in April but picked up where he left off by taking the Bing Crosby at Del Mar in very game fashion. A 6 year old gelding by JAVA GOLD, he turns it on each and every time he walks into the starting gate. With 14 out of 15 in the money finishes, he's probably one of the most consistent horses that I've ever seen and is still the horse to beat on November 4.
