To Terri McCarthy For Her Birthday
You come into my life
when I lost my wife,
why is it that I feel like such a fool,
why is life so cruel?
At a time when I feel so sad, so low
yet one look at you, my woes seem to go.
The sun shines in your hair but it is your smile that
glows
what is in you that for you my love and devotion shows
I know not, nor does it matter why.
When I see you smile, I die.
The poet said the world he would give for a glance,
for a smile, he would give the sky,
for a kiss, what to give for a kiss he knew not.
But neither do I,
whom am I to a kiss from you to
chance?
Dreams are all I got.
I swayed to the music and held you tight,
thoughts of love and joy, to embrace you forever seems so
right,
to heaven and back with each beat of my heart,
for true love, nothing keeps apart.
Angels were in the air,
songs, peace and harmony everywhere,
flowers bloomed, birds sang,
from heaven and earth rainbows sprang,
poets their inspiration penned away,
for this was a special day,
in which my muse was born,
the chains on my love torn.
You have brought me love and desperation,
You are my song and inspiration,
You own my heart, my destiny.
Happy birthday Terri McCarthy.
Con mucho, mucho amor y amistad.
