Ron's Toys Page

The only difference between a man and a boy is the price of his toys.  There is an old phrase that states, "He who dies with the most toys wins."  I prefer a rewording to that phrase, "He who plays with the most toys wins."

The following are some links to pictures of some of my toys:

My '67 P1800S Volvo.  I purchased this car 17 years ago and it still runs great, although I have made some minor modifications.  The engine is a B20 as opposed to the original B18.  I have also added air, a Webber Carb with headers and an AM/FM CD player.

My '69 Norton  Commando 750 "R" Model.  I purchased this bike in 1977 for $350.  It has never been taken apart to be restored, rather it is a restoration in progress, as parts come off for work, they get cleaned.  Since I got rid of the Lucas electrical and the Amal carbs, it has run great and is very dependable.  Currently it is set up as an Interstate Model, but I have the original seat and tank.

The '69 'R' type is now scheduled for restoration.  The original tank has been sealed (although it did not leak when taken off in '79) and painted red with the original style black and gold decals, the seat is getting a new skin put on and the Amel carbs have been sent in for re-sleeving and clean up. My '73 Norton Commando 850 Roadster, in memory of Duncan Ferguson, who died on 20 February '95 while riding on Niles Canyon road.  This bike was restored by Ken Armann and was back on the road on Presidents Day '97.  My thanks to Ken for helping to keep Duncan on the road.
