Guitar Solo

Air Tendre

Air Tendre, or "Tender Melody," was composed for the harpsichord by Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687). This guitar arrangement is without the ornaments of the original music. This more austere rendition is nevertheless a delicate little gem.

Es Four

Es Four is an energetic, lively piece with an extended driving basso ostinato played by the third guitar which supports a duet played by guitars one and two. It's quite fun to play. Flute, Marimba and Guitar

The marimba parts in Dance 'N Five and Tango range to the F below middle C allowing the trio to utilize a xylophone which is more easily transported than a concert marimba.

Dance 'N Five is a lively trio in 5/4. The individual parts are available separately in pdf (Acrobat Reader) format. Contact me if you would like to have them.
FOUR PAGES

Tango is a full score. Please request the individual parts if you would like to have them e-mailed to you in pdf (Acrobat Reader) format. The guitar part includes some suggested fingering.

Lunar Seas

In 1651 the Italian astronomer, Riccioli, bestowed romantic Latin names on the moon's maria, or "seas." The compositions in this set were named after five of these "seas." The music was composed in 1976 for two guitars. In 1978 this piano - four hands arrangement was made for, recorded and performed by, Joan Ball and Helen Twiss. The score was revised in February 2003.
