The best treasures come in small packages, and that is how we feel about Velvet, she is a treasure. She came to us after the loss of Summer. Not that you can replace or even come close to doing so.

Velvet is our little petite blue eyed white girl. She has a tiny little voice to go with the little body. How she can get such a tremendous purr out of that little body is a wonder. She does rule the kingdom, and everyone knows it. Travis is definitely her person. She goes and sleeps with him every night, and waits until he is a sleep before she retires with us for the evening. She greets us at the door, tells us about her day, and basically follows us around like a little puppy dog would.

She went to one show as a kitten, but did not like it. On one other occasion I tried bringing her as a companion for Chiffon at shows. Only she was just too timid, so that was the extent of her show adventures.

She loves to sleep in fresh laundry, her way of helping fold the clothes. A lap kitty she is. As soon as someone sits down she is first to claim the lap for herself. She loves birthday cake! She enjoys the musicians in our house and the ones who come visit and practice music. She especially enjoys the instrument cases. She is not afraid of the drums in fact she is fascinated with anything new. She loves soft blankets, her people, and her three best buddies, Chiffon, Travis, and Alura.
