Our Family Tree: A must have for your genealogical library. This extensive “Tree” takes the Farrar line three generations into England. Anyone descendant from William Farrar, our immigrant grandfather who arrived in Jamestown aboard the Neptune in 1618, may connect their individual family line to wherever they diverge from this chart. Also, through Judith Jefferson, aunt to Thomas Jefferson, wife of George Farrar (4th generation from Jamestown) can trace their lineage to the blue bloods of England, the Plantagenets, Edwards I and III. This “Tree” also includes all the ancient rulers of these Misty Isles into antiquity. A 3’ x 6’ copy of this “Tree” on good paper, readily readable, is available for $20 by mail (includes S & H).
The Holmes’ Books: The author, Miss. Alvahn Holmes, spent many years in scholarly archival work researching in both England and America to compile this authentic Farrar history. Her first volume, The Farrar’s Island Family, is available for $39.50 (includes S & H). Her second volume, Some Farrar’s Island Descendants, is currently in its fourth printing and should be available in January 2000.
2nd Reminder
As we all know the 0-10 assessed themselves $100 per annum.
The 2nd Generation have assessed themselves according to the following schedule: Below age 23: none. Age 23 thru 39: $25 per annum. Age 40+: $50 per annum.
It must be understood these are annual assessments whether or not the Reunion is attended.
Associate Members: all other Farrar descendants, Friends, and others interested in the Farrar name and our ongoing research and projects. We request a minimum donation of $10. Most assuredly, larger donations will be most welcomed.
These monies are due the first quarter of each year (1 Jan thru 31 Mar). This to insure sufficient cash flow to make all purchases of Reunion necessities we supply and all material required for our programed Reunion Work Day. Your cooperation is most appreciated.
