Dr. Russell F. Henke heads an independent business & management consultancy based in the San Francisco Bay Area,
pursuing a private practice for a number of selected high-technology client companies.
Dr. Henke is president of Henke Associates of Berkeley, CA, a business/management consulting firm to more than forty high-tech companies worldwide since March 31, 1996. Prior to founding this firm, he held corporate executive positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation, Automation Technology Products, Gould Electronics, Schlumberger Applicon, SDRC, and Cincinnati Milacron.
Throughout his career, Henke has been active in developing, marketing, and supporting commercially successful computer hardware, applications software and global professional services in electronic design automation (EDA), finite element analysis, computer graphics and Mechanical CAD/CAM.
In 1989, Henke received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Cincinnati. A member of SME since 1982, Henke was elected a 2000 SME Fellow. He was subsequently elected an International Director of the SME, with a term of January 2002 to December 2003. In addition, Henke is a Life Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE). In 2002, Henke won a Professional Leadership Award from the IEEE-USA. In March 2003, Henke was nominated for ASME Fellow recognition, and he was formally elected ASME International Fellow in May 2003, and ASME Life Fellow in May 2006.
In April 2006, Henke was presented at COFES2006 with The CAD Society's Lifetime Achievement Award for 2006. See "Latest Press Releases" link below. In February 2007, Henke became affiliated with Cyon Research as a senior analyst, supplementing his independent consulting practice Henke Associates.
