History
The Denver and Pacific Falls Railway is located "way out west" somewhere. First incorporated as the Denver and Pacific Falls Railroad, it came out of bankruptcy after the Panic of 1887 with the current name. By serving as a shortcut route between giant railroads Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe and the Union Pacific, it has managed to keep alive with through freight and some local agricultural business, including shipping of triticale and tortillas.
Our small branch of the D&PF meets the mainline at Red Mountain Yard, connecting the towns of Orange Hill, Appleton, and Mandarin with Red Mountain, Red Mountain Yard, and the Eder Farm. These towns are connected by passenger trains and an occasional doodlebug excursion.
The railroad is a dog bone about 150 feet in circumference with a two track yard on the south end.
The Railway contains a combination of scratch built, kit, and pre-assembled structures. Power is through code 250 aluminum rails, provided by a Bridgewerks 10 amp power supply
