Amber has returned to school at Portland State University on
our dime. Her friend Kevin is also attending using his GI Bill, he's a
Marine. She just finished her first term. Sounds like she is doing
well. A couple more terms and she will finally have her degree. Now if
the economy will just pick up.
I'm finishing up a voice class. Probably the worst I've done.
My old guy voice is failing me. Next semester I plan on taking guitar
and maybe other classes. I'd like to get into an aerobic PE class. We
have been inspired by the book "Younger Next Year".
We returned from DC. I'll be putting a report up soon - well
apparently not so soon. This
is me doing a report at the new
Newseum... (it could be slow as it's pretty large)
For our 40th anniversary we went on a seven day cruise of the Mexican
Riviera - Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. Deb's sister
Peg was along too. Hopefully a trip report soon. Report - no pictures
Deb is having another good year teaching. It's like either the kids or
the teacher gets better each year. We are fairly concerned about the
economy and the state of California. She already has to give up two
days pay, it could get much worse.
We did go to Portland Oct 4th but did not participate in the five
miler. Deb was not feeling well. We, well she, had worked quite hard in
preparation. We were happy to see Amber, Kevin and Peg.
During the last CTA meeting in LA I met my brother Chuck. Here are a few pictures.
