Welcome to the Robert L. Stevens
School web page. We are a growing K-6 school of 440 students, and are very
happy you have chosen to visit us. Ours is a new, beautiful
school that reflects the caring, professional staff and
wonderful students who work and attend here.
Robert L. Stevens has a diverse
population that cares about our school, learning, and each other. Robert
Stevens is a safe, positive environment which is the pride of the community.
Out teachers stress academic performance, responsibility , and celebrate
individual and group achievement. We are proud of the fact that one third
of our students are able to speak more than one language.
We are committed to meeting
the needs of all students. We offer GATE classes after school, as well
as intervention programs at all levels. Our Chess Club members have brought
our school honors in local competitions, and our Web Tech Club is continually
expanding their skills and revising our web page. Additionally, we have
dedicated volunteers who assist in the classroom, staff a Homework Club
giving students opportunities to have tutoring and school work help, as
well as offer Adult ESL Literacy classes two days a week. Our music program,
consisting of a chorus, marching and concert band, and jazz ensemble is
outstanding. They have won community recognition as have our cheerleaders
who double as a Marching Drill Team in our local Rose parade.
