The Web Tech Club is a group of students in 4th, 5th and 6th grades who put together and maintain this web site.
Students sign up for which pages they would like to design and each week meet to create and make changes. Everything is voted on. There is a lot of discussion about what makes a good web page and what not only looks good but will be easy for people to visit. There are things we have to remember like not everyone uses the same browser or the same size of monitor. We also have to remember that not everyone has DSL Line like we do. Everything loads very fast for us, but most people have 56K modems.
It is a lot of work putting together a web site but we think it is also a lot of fun.
We have learned things that most kids our age don't get to learn. Some of us can even make animated images. That is REALLY challenging! Mrs. Huffstutter shows us new things all the time. She says she has to learn really quick to stay ahead of us.
