Silver Spur has been together for over 9 years, and has performed at various clubs, events and venus all over the San Francisco bay area. Silver Spur plays mostly new Country hits, with some classic Country and Rock hits thrown in for variety. Silver Spur was originally formed to compete in a local battle-of-the-bands competition sponsored by the then-country formatted KSAN in the SF bay area in 1996.
Silver Spur is made up of experience musicians and singers who pride themselves in staying as close as possible to the original recordings/arrangements, while still exercising creativity in delivery of the songs performed. Silver Spur has been featured in the ethnic (Filipino) TV show "pinoy pa rin" for KTSF, and has opened for well-known acts such as KAI (Geffen recording artist) an country star, Marty Stuart. Tess Reyes, the lead singer of Silver Spur, now has a CD of original songs available. The CD can be bought through CDBABAY.com or TOWER.com.
Silver Spur performs almost every weekend somewhere in the bay area. They are currently working on their CD of original songs.
