Known as the "little lady" with a big, low but rich voice. She has been singing since she was 6 years old. Participating in her schools' broadway type productions and choruses, she has blossomed into the singer/songwriter she is today. Tess plays the guitar, mandolin, fluke (not a miss-spelling) and some keyboards. Today, she writes songs that lean toward the traditional country style, due mostly to her childhood influences. Reaching the level of "finalist" for the Association of Songwriters and Lyricists "Crystal Music Award" 1998, her winning song is published in an anthology/collection entitled "On the Road". Tess has been fronting and managing the band, Silver Spur, since 1996 while still maintaining her full time job as a local freelance Art teacher in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Using her talents for various community and fundraising events, Tess may very well be called the "little lady with a big heart". Tess is one of the original founding members of Silver Spur. She has been singing since elementary, and has been in various country bands around the bay area. Tess sings backup vocals and master the art of percussion. She also plays acoustic guitar, mandolin, fluke and composes original music. Tess has a wide range and powerful vocals as well. Tess has now released her 6- song (originals) CD, produced by a well established producer in Nashville, Tennessee. |
