The Reisigs of Northern California
Welcome to the homepage of the Reisig's from Northern California.
We are a blend of California and Montana natives.
The maternal side of the family are fifth-generation Californians with family ties to Fouts, Jones, Emerick, and Leonard pioneers. The families came to California for the gold from Mississippi and Ireland and stayed. The rich family history has some as political leaders of the gold country, holding political offices in Folsom, CA.
The paternal side of the family came from Montana roots. The family has a sizeable presence in the Big Sky country. The great-grandparents were ethnic Germans who emigrated from Russia. Grandpa could speak five languages.
Fun things we enjoy are Special Olympic events, BMX bike events, high school track, baseball, and football, and, of course, Sacramento Kings basketball. We are also knowledgeable sources for information about Williams Syndrome.
