Alpi International is a 25,000 s.f. warehouse remodel/office conversion for an Oakland based toy importer. The warehouse work included a partial seismic upgrade, ADA required access and toilets, construction of a spray booth, several post-manufacturing stations and shipping facilities at an existing loading dock. The office remodel/addition required the redesign of a small existing office area within the warehouse to accommodate a dark room, employee toilets, lunchroom, and executive and art staff offices. A contiguous structure was built within the existing warehouse to accommodate sales staff in an open office configuration, with conference facilities. A loft area was planned to accommodate future expansion of the office functions. Exterior improvements included security, lighting and a two-story storefront faŤade behind roll-down bay doors for the new entry to the office functions.
