This renovation of two floors of an existing, off-campus building was planned to bring the services of the Career Center closer to campus and the students it serves. Interview rooms and counseling offices were planned as the primary activity of the facility.  Classrooms were to prepare students with job search skills (resume writing and interview techniques).  Construction documents incorporated numerous green building ideas: from re-cycled carpet to no-VOC paint to steel framing.  Energy savings would be realized through new HVAC systems, lighting and on-demand water heater.  Occupancy was to be achieved on a fast-track basis.  However, a campus referendum defeated the funding of the project and the project was abandoned.
