Soda Hall RADlab
University of California, Berkeley

The RADlab project is a remodel of a 5,000 S.F. space at Soda Hall. The design combines open workspace for both students and faculty in one large open area. The department is hoping that this arrangement will lead to better interaction and communication between the two groups. A coffee bar/kitchen and five meeting rooms of various sizes are included in the program to provide options for smaller group collaborations with varying degrees of privacy. After several months of operation the experiment is proving to be a great success.
