| I think this is the best shot of the car I've
taken yet.
I took a ride to Morgan Territory Preserve where I ate some lunch and took some pictures. I was the only one around and the only sounds were from birds and someone's horses across the road. |
| Mount Diablo is not far from here. The mountain has a powerful presence in the area I live in, as evidenced by pictures on other pages of this site. |
| Morgan Territory Preserve is a protected area in
the hills north of Livermore for the preservation of open space and natural
habitat for wildlife.
There are picnic tables and trails for hiking and horseback riding, but no camping or vehicles of any kind (including bicycles) are allowed on the trails. |
| This would make a good Thunderbird calendar picture. I take a lot of pictures of the car but after all, this web site is "Bob's Yellow Bird". |
| This tree looks like an oak but the leaves don't look like oak. I'm not sure what kind of tree it is, but it makes a nice picture. There are so many varieties of oak trees, maybe it is one of them. |
| I just didn't have the heart to spoil the front of my car by drilling holes and mounting an ugly license plate on it. I hope I don't get busted. Knock wood. |
| The back of the car, on the other hand, has a nice place built just for a license plate. It looks pretty nice with the chrome frame which has the Thunderbird logo on it. |
| The trail into the hills begins here right by the parking lot and corrals. |
| There are corrals and a couple of horse stalls but I don't know if they are for the public's use. I have never seen any horses here but I haven't been here very often. |
